WarrantyAll tire warmers come with a full 12 month
warranty that covers defect in manufacturing ONLY. SumoMoto-USA will repair or replace defective items for the first 14 days after shipment. The remaining warranty must be obtained directly through the manufacturer. Any damage to or misuse of any item
will fully void this warranty.
Buyers must pay a replacement return shipping deposit prior to any
warranty work taking place. In most cases, returned items will be inspected
for defect and shipped back to the buyer within 72 hours. If a
substantial defect is found, the shipping deposit will be refunded
and replacement units will be sent to the buyer at SumoMoto-USA's
expense. However, if only an easily correctable minor problem is found, no refund will be considered and the buyer will be responsible for shipping back to the buyer at the buyer's expense. If any damage or misuse
is found, all remaining warranty will be voided and the items will be shipped back to the buyer at the buyer's expense.
Refunds may only be given at the sole discretion of SumoMoto-USA upon return inspection, and are only considered within 7 days of purchase. An 18% reconditioning/restocking fee will be assessed to all refunded orders regardless of the nature of return.
For warranty issues passed the initial 14 day period, please contact the manufacturer
at Sumomoto Industries.
Initial Controller Setup Instructions:
-
Plug in controller box to properly powered outlet. Displays should
both read “LL” meaning there is no connection to the warmers.
-
Press “SET” and set the “Front” controller to the desired temperature, then press “SET”
again to store the value. Repeat for the “Rear”.
-
Hold “SET” button for 6 seconds to enter Advanced Parameter Mode.
“E1” should flash. Use the “UP/DOWN” arrows to set as follows, then
press “SET” when finished to move to the next parameter:
-
“E1” = 0
-
“E2” = 99
-
“E3” = 3
-
“E4” = 0
-
“E5” = 0
-
Press “SET” one more time and the display will return to “E1”. Leave
the controller alone for 10 seconds to store all values and return to
main display.
-
Unplug when finished.
Proper Use of Tire Warmers:
- First, properly wrap the warmers around each tire. Make
sure each warmer is firmly secure with the velcro flap well above
the ground. Do not lay the connectors or the control box on
the ground. Connect each cord to the appropriate plug on the
control box.
- Be sure your generator or other power supply is running AND
putting out power BEFORE attempting to plug in the control box! DO NOT
attempt to use the warmers from any sort of in-vehicle power port! Doing
either of these could cause excessive voltage spikes and fry the
controller boxes or connectors. When everything is set up
properly, THEN power the control box.
- When warmers reach the set temperature, use a Pyrometer to verify
tire surface temperature. If readings are accurate, there is nothing
else needed to be done. In some cases, the controller may need to be
tuned if Pyrometer readings are offset.
- To calibrate the controller unit due to inaccurate Pyrometer
readings, hold “SET” for 6 seconds to enter Advanced Parameter Mode.
Press “SET” 4 times to change the “E5” setting. This is the Calibration
Offset setting. For instance, if display reads “70” and Pyrometer reads
”68” then the offset should be set to “-2”. If display reads “70” and
Pyrometer reads “73” then the offset should be set to “3”.
• ONLY SET ONE DISPLAY OFFSET AT A TIME. IN MOST CASES, OFFSETS FOR THE
FRONT AND REAR WILL NOT BE THE SAME.
- Warmers should not be ran for more than 60 minutes at a time. For
“first heat”, 45 minutes should be more than enough to thoroughly warm
the tire.
- When removing the warmers, UNPLUG POWER FIRST. Then carefully
disconnect each plug and unwrap the warmers. Warmers should be hung up
to cool and never left on the ground. After warmers have cooled, ROLL
each up individually and place into the included storage bag. DO NOT
fold warmers or roll together, as this may damage the heating elements.
** NEVER TURN A GENERATOR ON OR OFF WITH THE DIGITAL CONTROL BOXES
PLUGGED IN! THIS WILL DAMAGE THE BOXES AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER
WARRANTY.
